Niagara on the Lake tours offers a popular Niagara wineries tour, currently available on winery bus tourSaturdays or as a private group tour 7 days a week.  Spend a whole day visiting the Niagara region and taste Ontario wines at 4 top wineries, with a lunch stop in Niagara on the Lake.  We offer 5 pick up points in Greater Toronto, with a return approximately 8-9 hours later.

wine tasting tourYou may enjoy a free tasting at each of the wineries, as well as a tour at one of the wineries.  One of the most famous wines is the Ontario Ice Wine. Some other wine tour companies will charge you extra to sample the ice wine but Niagara on the Lake Tours have a great relationship with our wineries and you will receive complimentary ice wine tasting at our partner wineries.

Wines are also available for purchase, should you wish to bring some home. We will visit 2 wineries in the morning, then take a lunch break in Niagara on the Lake.  We will visit 2 additional wineries in the afternoon, then head back to Toronto.

Niagara wine tour Pillitteri CellarsFirst Winery: Pillitteri Estates is our first stop, located in the heart of Ontario’s winemaking region.  The Pillitteri family have been making wines in Ontario for more than 6 decades, building on their Sicilian family tradition of viticulture.

Learn about winemaking in the Niagara region as you enjoy a full hour tour with commentary.  This walking tour will take you through the Pillitteri estate where you will view their production facilities and their unique barrel cellar.

After the guided tour, you will get to sample 3 featured wines at their tasting bar including their multiple award winning ice wine.

Second Winery:  Caroline Cellars

Niagara on the Lake wineryCaroline Cellars first began as a family farm back in 1978. The transition to a winery began after 2000, as the farm transitioned from growing vegetables to growing vinifera grapes.

Enjoy the picturesque setting by the vineyards as you sample 3-4 of their popular wines.

Enjoy a 90 minute break in one of Canada’s prettiest towns – Niagara on the Lake!  This historic town is ideally situated next to a river and a lake, so water views abound.

You have the option of a 3 course lunch, a box lunch or lunch on your own when we stop at Niagara on the Lake.  You can also spend the time strolling the town or visiting the boutiques.

 

Third Winery: Reif Estate

This 125 acre vineyard is located on the Niagara River.

Reif Estate was founded in 1977, carrying on a German family tradition of winemaking that spans over 12 generations.

You will be able to taste their VQA wines and shop for artisan gifts and local cheese. This winery has earned the TripAdvisor certificate of excellence.

Fourth Winery: Diamond Estates

Dan Aykroyd winery tour - Diamond Estates wineryDiamond Estates Winery, your fourth and final stop, is located in the heart of Canada’s premier viticulture district, the Niagara Peninsula.

It is one of the largest wineries in Ontario and home to some of Ontario’s best known wines, including famous Canadian actor Dan Aykroyd’s line of wines.

You will get to view this state-of-the-art winemaking facility and try some of their popular VQA wines.
